AFTC SilverTape AM1200-series
This product is a double-coated (Coating 96) Enhanced Conformable acrylic foam tape for demanding automotive bonding applications, developed for LSE substrates without primer or other surface pretreatment. Compared to the previous generation, it offers improved initial adhesion, higher shear strength, greater conformability on uneven surfaces, and higher temperature resistance (95 °C long-term, 110 °C short-term). Its viscoelastic core distributes stress across the bond line, limiting peel initiation at the tape edge; with correct application, failure is typically cohesive, with the core tearing before the bond releases from the substrate.
