- Our Cleaning Tutorial  – 

Cleaning is one of the most important steps when applying our AFTC SilverTape. 
AFTC offers two types of cleaners: 
• AFTC Dust & Dirt (IPA based)
• AFTC Oil & Grease (Heptane based)

Besides cleaning, the use of adhesion promoters can be necessary before applying AFTC SilverTape.
AFTC offers three different kind of adhesion promoters:
·        AFTC SilverPrime 101
·        AFTC SilverPrime 201
·        AFTC SilverActivate 301

- Applying AFTC SilverTape -
 
When the recommended surface preparation is carried out, the AFTC SilverTape can be applied onto the substrate. When applying AFTC SilverTape several crucial points must be taken into consideration, to ensure a good adhesion.

- Aluminum substrates – 

Aluminum is a material very suitable for bonding with AFTC SilverTape. However in many cases, the bonding of aluminum is underestimated because the aluminum in most cases is pre-treated or coated. In general this means there are three different types of aluminum substrates:
• Raw
• Anodised
• (Powder) Coated 

These substrates all need a different type of cleaning and surface preparation. In the video below we will show you the three different types of cleaning to increase the performance of the bond.
