2008
The beginning
The collaboration with a South-Korean production facility was secured mid 2008 called AFTC® Production Korea Ltd. In May of 2008 the AFTC® Group opened their offices in Maastricht, the Netherlands and Luxemburg. All of the pieces to the puzzle were in place now and as a result, the active search for customers began. After AFTC®’s first two years, an economic crises hit creating another set of challenges for AFTC®. However, the AFTC® Group showed their resolve by successfully navigating the process to have their high quality Acrylic Foam Tape (AFT) products tested and approved by several OEM’s like Volkswagen, Porsche, Ford, BMW and Daimler.
2010
First success
AFTC® Group’s first real significant commercial success came in 2010 when the AFTC® Group supplied our Acrylic Foam Tape (AFT) to Porsche for the production of the Porsche Cayenne. Soon after, the Volkswagen Passat and several Audi models coupled with various Ford models started to utilize the AFTC® line of Acrylic Foam Tapes (AFT) creating a “buzz” in the European automotive industry. Today, you can find parts with AFTC® Group’s Acrylic Foam Tapes (AFT) being used in most new vehicle platforms with every major Automotive manufacturer.
2011
100th contract
2011 was highlighted with the signing of AFTC Group’s 100th distribution contract. With this significant milestone achieved, AFTC supplies here Acrylic Foam Tapes (AFT) in 60 countries worldwide. The AFTC distributors serve many different markets with their own specialty, such as automotive, building & construction, electronics and transportation. This structure has enabled AFTC Group to a global presence with local support.
2012
New office
In 2012 AFTC® opens it new office in the US, located in Philidelphia. By doing so AFTC® expands here global footprint and abilities to supply here growing customers base with AFTC®’s Acrylic Foam Tapes (AFT).
2014
The growth continuess
Opening of AFTC Czech s.ro. located in Prague which supports the continually growing demand of Acrylic Foam Tapes for the Czech Automotive industry and AFTC Latino Americas Sa located with its main office in Uruguay and branch offices in Mexico and Brazil.
2015
Technical support
To fully support our customers’ needs for more technical support, AFTC opened a new laboratory especially equipped for doing customer specific testing.
2016
Quality
AFTC China opens her facilities which include a completely new converting facility which also includes a QM lab environment to ensure that only the best quality Acrylic Foam Tapes (AFT) reaches our customer.
2020
New office
AFTC Headquarters moves from Geleen to a new office in Kerkrade, The Netherlands. The new office includes a complete new laboratory especially designed for customer specific testing and to conduct application trainings. Also the new office includes a central storage location for our logistics department.
